NAPKIN PININFARINA SPACE

Pininfarina SPACE is a stylus entirely made of magnesium, an ultralight material that offers high mechanical performances. SPACE has been designed as a writing tool suitable for microgravity environments, such as the ISS International Space Station.

The Ethergraf® alloy of which its tip is made, is able to write in these physical conditions in complete safety. In fact the hardness of the metal avoids any graphite debris that would dangerously float in the space station.

Pininfarina SPACE was donated to the ISS astronauts, as a personal writing tool, during the mission V.I.T.A. of the Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli. The operation was possible thanks to the collaboration with ALTEC (Aerospace Logistics Technology Engineering Company).
