The first of 7 pens with a yearly release dedicated to the 7 KINGS OF ROME
Rome was founded. It’s the moment of Romulus's successor: NUMA POMPILIO. (754 BC - 673 BC)
The pen is dedicated to the III KING “Tullo Ostilio” (673 BC, to 641° BC)
The 2024 pen is dedicated to King Builder: Anco Marzio.
The 753 brand was born from an idea of the owners of 5 pen shops in Rome, dedicating this line of writing instruments to the year of birth of the City "753 BC".
The Comedìa collection is yet another act of love by Visconti for the city of Florence, cradle of the Italian Renaissance and symbol of the craftsmanship that distinguishes our creations. Reflecting the literary scheme of the Divine Comedy, divided into three cantiche, the collection is composed of three different models: Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso. Each model has been designed with resins and metallics conceived to best express the imagery of each cantica: black and red with ruthenium finishes for Inferno, taupe and grey with palladium finishes for Purgatorio, and white and light blue with yellow gold finishes for Paradiso.
The three models are united by a special ring characterised by two bands covered with a hammered texture - a detail that is also found in the special metal section of the pens. Each band is then individually engraved by our craftsmen with the words ‘Comedia’ followed by the name of the specific modelThe Comedia fountain pen features a large steel nib, combining writing performance and aesthetic appeal. The plating of the nib, like that of the other metalwork, follows a precise colour scheme to best represent the cantica from which the pen is inspired: ruthenium for Hell, palladium for Purgatory and yellow gold for Paradise.
