PARAFERNALIA
PARAPHERNALIA opens it’s doors in 1966, a boutique situated amidst the artistic district of Milan: Brera. A mosaic of interesting objects and perfumes from all over the world  make-up PARAPHERNALIA’s particularity. Suddenly, the boutique becomes a meeting point for students and artists of the district, discussing and confronting their ideas.
     With the birth of the laboratory, architects and designers meet in the backroom of  PARAPHERNALIA. Ideas with the taste of Design fill the store. From the circular mirror with a plastic orange rim to the fluorescent poster of Jimi Hendrix, objects signed by  PARAPHERNALIA quickly become icons of the times. Young artists find their – playground – letting their creativity to the service of PARAPHERNALIA.
     PARAPHERNALIA becomes a reference point in Italian Design. Production at an industrial scale of Designer objects is established. At the  MACEF exposition, a black monolith rises in the corner of the PARAPHERNALIA stand. Behind a Plexiglas window in the monolith, aluminium objects can be previewed, the first PARAPHERNALIA writing instruments are presented to the public (AL 13).
     The name PARAPHERNALIA is changed to PARAFERNALIA® and deposited as trademark. Production is diversified and the brand is introduced in schooling accessories, and beauty stores.
     The group DECORLINE, an Italian distribution company, takes majority in  PARAFERNALIA®. It introduces other brands to shoulder PARAFERNALIA® brand and increase market share and attracting the interest of other brands from the world of design.
     A prestigious designer becomes interested in the know-how of PARAFERNALIA® and proposes to them an entire line of objects under their own brand. PININFARINA chooses PARAFERNALIA  Writing Instruments as partner to begin the project and the  commercialisation of writing products.
     Looking forward to the new millennium, the wave of Y2K rekindles the interest in modern design, giving new inspiration to the men of PARAFERNALIA® and to return to the sense of it’s original philosophy – meeting point for ideas in Design.
     Architects and designers from all over the world sollicitate with enthusiasm the attainment of the “mission” of PARAFERNALIA® men. New projects are activated. Culture and style are the power engines of the brand. Birth of a key role, the commercialisation of the PARAFERNALIA®  brand around the world. Strategic alliances and investments for the future are activated to guarantee continuity of the brand. AL13 srl manages new product and image, appropriately studied for this goal.

  • PARAFERNALIA DIVINA

    Starting from a project in 1978 and engineered with the most modern production systems, in 2017 Divina Stilografica was reintroduced into the Parafernalia collection. .
    Made of aluminum from a single bar and anodized with the colors "Parafernalia" creating a very light object, only 13 grams that, powered by the Schmidt writing systems, makes it a pleasant and at the same time reliable writing instrument. .

    Loading system with standard cartridges can also be used with a (optional) converter it can also be used with any type of ink.

    The gift box contains convert and STILO FETTI logo ink in the same color as the pen

    PARAFERNALIA REVOLUTION!

    Revolution.....The most well-known pen of PARAFERNALIA®. Designed in 1978 by Sergio Carpani as an object to commemorate the construction of the Beaubourg in Paris, REVOLUTION continues to attract the attention of newer generations of professionals and aficionados.
    With its 31 pieces entirely produced in Italy and entirely assembled by hand, it is one of the symbols of “Made in Italy”.

    REVOLUTION – 1971-1972

    The story of REVOLUTION pen as told by his designer, Sergio Carpani. As a result of several years of internal struggles in PARAFERNALIA , we managed to direct PARAFERNALIA to concentrate on Design. 
    1971 Alchimia Studio – an architect company of that time, requested a pen with an extreme design (HI-TECH) no one at PARAFERNALIA thought it might be done.
    The philosophy behind Design is primarily the optimization, the essentiality, the aesthetics that inspire the draawing of an object.
    PARAFERNALIA asked for a pen that was unsellable, a courageous image. I started to work with what was HI-TECH at the time, that was to show the technical parts, the mechanism, the guts of the instrument (just like the Centre Pompidou – Beaubourg of that time) and design the shape of the fitting around it (just like Pininfarina was being asked to shape a Ferrari car around the powerful engines in order for it to perform efficiently). An innovative pen, entirely hand-made with 31 miniaturised metallic components and push mechanism just like the most complex race cars.
    The great innovative impact, the ultimate design and structure set apart who owns it.
    For this reason, the pen was called REVOLTION and with great astonishment to everyone, it revealled to be a great commerial success which, even today characterises the PARAFERNALIA brand.
    Revolution proposes itself today as a unique and contemporary writing object.
